Lightroom from Adobe for iPad now available for download

On Tuesday, Adobe announced that photo editing software Lightroom 5 would be available for iPad. Under the creative cloud photography program Lightroom mobile app is available, that includes Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 for Rs 499 per month.

So would I be able to get all features?
Yes, you would as it automatically syncs user photos between two apps and creative cloud subscribers can make edits and have updated versions of photos with them.

Features included are:

·   Latest smart preview technology
·   Syncing edits
·   No heavy processing of files
·   Metadata for future purpose
·   Collection changes available with the desktop version
·   Click images are imported automatically
·  User can work on images also when iPad is on offline mode
·  Adjust ex-poser, temperature, highlights
·  Crop tools and Adobe’s built in tone presets

Adobe confidently made this statement:” Whichever web browser user uses, it would be able to view photos “

Editing capabilities are powerful because of the use of Adobe smart previews.

What does Adobe smart previews does?

They help to compress the giant RAW files to tiny one. It makes files compact enough to perform complex edits and enhance the quality. On the iPad mini the edits takes place immediately and are reflected in the images. When you are using smart preview edits don’t stay, but if there is a RAW file and you working on desktop changes would be updated when you are done with iPad.

So can I share the pics directly?

Yes, of course you can share those on social sites because Lightroom mobile photos would be sync and they would be stored on web too. Thus you can share them.

Free OR Paid OR Subscription?

The app Lightroom is free to download, but for using it you need to be creative cloud member. Minimum subscription is of $9.99 per month.  If you have purchased Lightroom but you are not subscriber you won’t be able to use it.

Available for?

Lightroom mobile is available for iPad 2 with IOS 7++.

Verdict:
The app is paid and also subscription needed for the editing part of the photos. For the photographers this is what best they can expect from Adobe, but for the beginners this might affect the pocket as purchase and monthly subscription.

As per Adobe, iPhone app of Lightroom would be launched soon.
