Facebook Payment Feature

No more additional application on your phone in order to pay debts or send money to friends, families and relatives. Thanks to the newest feature of Facebook. Payment feature for Facebook Messenger allows user to send money by connecting your Visa or Master card. Tap on the $ button to send money to a person. This feature is available on IOS, Android and on the desktop with no additional fees. Initially, it would roll out in the US and in upcoming months to other parts of the world.

No Dependency
Previously, when it comes to payment one word comes to our mind “PAYPAL” but with the help of payment feature for Facebook Messenger Facebook has made its own platform. Transaction taking place with the help of this would be encrypted and they are kept in a secured environment different from the normal network environment. With this feature the other payment competitors in P2P like Google Wallet, Venmo, PAYPAL and others need to re-think again for any innovative actions.
As per Facebook’s product manager for the feature added words that they are not building this payment feature for their business purpose, it is provided absolutely free. They just want the messenger feature to be more useful, delightful and ease for the users.

How this feature works?

Once the messenger is updated user would be able to see the $ sign on the messenger window where the user types text.

  • Tap on the $ sign
  • Facebook would ask you to enter debit/credit card details
  • For additional security IOS user can set a Touch ID and other users can set a passcode for the same.
  • Now fill the transferable amount
  • Select person and hit the pay.
Facebook would not hold money but generally few days time is needed for the payment procedure to take place. Both the users would get a confirmation message about the status of transfer funds. Facebook would improve the time taken to transfer funds between users and make it instantly soon. There is also a payment history where user can see the history till date.
We hope that this feature is stable and if the time is lessened for the receiver to receive funds more users would use this feature for sure.

Thank You YAHOO!!

For every online account you manage it’s difficult to remember password. Whether it is social network, banking, insurance or personal mail passwords are always being difficult to remember. For some of accounts like banking and insurance password should be string which should mandatorily follow some pre defined pattern, including special character and other stuff. Thus it becomes headache to memorize such passwords. Hence thank you for Yahoo password authentication.

Yahoo has come up with a solution in order to help users making it easy to login into its email services. Yahoo does not want it user to enter traditional password, and password managers like LastPass would help you to remember pass codes. But yahoo does not even want its user to have one in the initial phase.

So what has YAHOO introduced?

User would get a mobile code to gain access to their account. This code is specifically generated for that account only and it is unique. Every time the user login the code would change. Hackers would no longer be able to hack password as the user has Smartphone and code is delivered on it only.  It is like two factor authentication; in simple words lock your door with double lock. Google has also offered similar kind of authentication, user needs to enter password first then user would get a code to log in into mail account. It means for Google sign in user needs to remember password. Yahoo differs because there is no permanent password you get password on demand.

Yahoo has technically thought of one-factor authentication but it would be a challenge to keep service secure. Last year there was serious issue because hackers were able to steal username and passwords. Yahoo lately but with innovative way helped user to connect easily without remembering passwords. We hope this technique would encourage other mail services to make their services secure also with help of one-factor authentication.

Kids Friendly YouTube

YouTube has a massive audience of children watching videos already, even if they’re not allowed to sign up for an account. The site contains videos which are not suitable for kids and there was no effective way to Manage Kid’s viewing habits.

Here is the latest update from Tech world, which is in way good news for parents. YouTube kids addresses those concern providing an app where content will be screened and deemed appropriate for children.

Meanwhile, Google-owned site has already approached video producers to create a suitable content and videos. Still the date and launch of the service is not decided nor its clear that how exactly it will work. One thing is certain that it would have separate app or a locked channel.

The app's security feature is on the parental control which is a random code that changes each time you click the lock icon; the app displays the code with the numbers spelled out, so it's clear YouTube Kids is aimed at those who haven't yet learned to read.

The control includes a built-in timer which after it runs out, any kids still watching a video will be out of luck, as all videos will stop playing until it resets the next day — or until a parent increases the time limit. The standard time is 30 minutes and it can be increased to maximum 120; once the timer has begun, kids can notice how long they have left via a slowly shortening progress bar along the top of the screen.
Kids should be mindful of the timer. It measures time the app is open — not just time spent viewing videos — and it runs down even if the app is running in the background.
Parents can also go for disable search, so viewing of the videos will be limited to just whatever is on the home screen.  Some kids who can't read search anyway.  Via voice : with the help of a tap of the microphone will allow kids say exactly what they're looking for, even though results may vary depending on how well they've learned to enunciate.
And yes, YouTube Kids does include ads. The ones I saw seemed kid-appropriate (basically ads for other kid-friendly YouTube channels), although the "skip ad" button that appears on pre-roll ads will probably be lost on preschoolers just by learning to read. Parents will have to remind kids to tap the button lest the ads cut into valuable viewing time.

Add on Update:
Other adding news is that Google is developing versions of search , Gmail just for kids.
